A flow stabilising device for an open refrigerated display case

The aerofoil controls the flow of an air curtain and comprises spaced apart, inner and outer stabilising beams 32, 34 and a thermoelectric generator (TEG) 200 with hot and cold sides 210, 220 in thermal communication with air passing around the beams 32, 34, respectively. The TEG 200 may be mounted on one of the beams 32, 34. The hot or cold side 210, 220 may be insulated from air passing around a surface of a beam 32, 34. Heat sinks 212, 222 may be thermally connected to the hot and cold sides 210, 220 and may have fins. The heat sinks 212, 222 may be on opposing beams 32, 34 and may be in thermal communication with air passing the outside of the outer beam 34 and inside of the inner beam 32. The aerofoil may have supporting arms 36 by which the heats sinks 212, 222 and TEG are in thermal communication.
