The building cylinder according to the invention is characterised in that the piston part (3) has a seal carrier (8), on which the powder seal (9) is mounted, in that a ceramic insulation means (7), in particular a circumferential insulation ring, is mounted on the seal carrier (9), and in that the base element (5) is mounted on the insulation means (7), the base element (5) being at a distance from the seal carrier (8) and from the powder seal (9).
