PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To firmly press an end portion of a medium toward a support section, while suppressing widening of an interval between the medium and the discharge section when discharging liquid on the medium in which a thickness of the end portion in a width direction varies.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge device 1 comprises: a support section 10 supporting a medium P; a discharge section 7 discharging liquid on the medium P being supported by the support section 10 and conveyed; and a plate-like pressing section 20 pressing an end portion Pe in a width direction B intersecting with a conveyance direction A in the medium P conveyed toward the support section 10 in a region S facing the discharge section 7.
