PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smaller, cheaper, and more efficient power module due to concern about increase in cost of electric power and influence on environment. A power module 10 includes a housing having an internal chamber, and a plurality of switch modules SM1 and SM2 mounted in the internal chamber. The plurality of switch modules are interconnected to facilitate the transfer of electrical power to the load. Each of the plurality of switch modules comprises at least one transistor Q1 (Q2) and at least one diode D1 (D2).
