The Effectiveness of an Adaptive Web Tutoring Application based on User's Knowledge Level for Biology Subject

Adaptive web tutoring application is audsuitable approach to adapt the learner to its learningudenvironment. Adaptation for web tutoring is based onudmodality and affective aspects of the learner. In thisudtechnology era, multimedia had become veryudimportant in our daily life in order to make our life moreudinteresting. Hence, there is a huge influence ofudmultimedia throughout the whole world which includesudin education technology. This research project is aboutudthe research on an adaptive web tutoring system byudusing multimedia elements such as image, text,udanimation, video and audio for learning Biology. Thisudsystem prototype which focus on photosynthesis topicudwill be used to test on a group of Form 6 students andudthe result will be compared to the conventionaludteaching method. T-test is used to conclude the resultsudof both experiments to support the hypothesis. T-testudresult shows the effectiveness of adaptive web tutoringudsystem compared to conventional teaching methodudeffectively
