Bringing Family Friends to Your Community: A Replication Manual

The Family Friends (FF) program began in 1986, when it was developed by the National Council on the Aging (NCOA). Since then, it has diversified to help other at-risk groups, including the rural poor, homeless, HIV positive babies, and adolescents with disabilities or chronic illnesses. The manual is a guide for developing a FF project. It contains stories, suggestions, problems, and solutions provided by project directors around the country. It covers community support, fundraising, matchmaking, and evaluation.
