摘要

The purpose of the study was to assess genetic variation within and amongTrifolium stoloniferum populations throughout its known geographic distribution. Past genetic studies using allozymes suggest low diversity. These studies also suggest that smaller populations have lower diversity than larger populations. Recently a more advanced technique for measuring genetic diversity has been developed. This technique uses random amplified polymorphic DNAs (RAPDs) and has often shown populational differences not found with allozymes.
