Managing Hazardous Waste (Massachusetts Department of Environmental Management)

This brochure, published by the Massachusetts Department of EnvironmentalManagement, is designed to answer some basic questions about hazardous waste management. A description of the characteristics that cause a waste to be listed is given. A description of generator categories is also provided along with what each category must do to comply with the law. Guidelines for aiding on-site waste accumulators to comply with the law are given, as well as an explanation of labelling and manifesting procedures. The brochure also contains suggestions on source reduction and waste management.
