IITRI Radio Frequency Heating Technology: Innovative Technology Evaluation Report

The IIT Research Institute's Radiofrequency Heating System is an innovativetechnology used to heat soil contaminated with organic chemicals. By increasing the temperature of the contaminated soil, radiofrequency heating increases the efficiency of soil vapor extraction systems. The IIT Research Institute's Radiofrequency Heating System was demonstrated at Kelly Air Force Base during 1993. This report describes that demonstration and discusses the results obtained.
