Development of Convective Testing Methods for Low-Rise Multifamily Buildings

This report describes convective testing methods and protocols developed for usein weatherizing low-rise multifamily buildings. These methods can be used to control internal air movement and prevent external leaks by estimating the magnitude of air leakage pathways in garden and townhouse apartments. The report finds that convective problems tend to be field practices that do not quantify leakage pathways and on reseach practices that require extensive equipment.
