The Intermodal surface Transportation Act of 1991 revised the criteria by which211u001enew start and guideway extension transit projects are evaluated for discretionary 211u001ecapital funding to include land use policies and patterns. As a result of this 211u001eequipment, the Federal Transit Administration developed evaluation criteria and 211u001ean evaluation process for incorporating land use policies and conditions in the 211u001eevaluation of new start projects. This report documents the pilot application of 211u001ethe land use criteria and evaluation process to nine projects across the U.S.
