Relations of Surface-Water Quality to Streamflow in the Wallkill and Upper211 Delaware River Basins, New Jersey and Vicinity, Water Years 1976-93

This report presents the results of analyses for 18 water-quality constituents in211u001esamples collected at 18 surface-water quality stations within the Wallkill and 211u001eupper Delaware River Basins(referred to as the study area) during the water years 211u001e1976-93 (October 1, 1975 through September 30, 1993). Relations between each of 211u001ethe 18 constituents and stream-flow at the 18 stations over the period of record 211u001ewere determined by testing for trends in the concentrations of constituents 211u001eduring low and high flows. Qualitative values of contributions from constant 211u001e(point sources and ground water) and intermittent (non-point storm runoff) 211u001esources are estimated statistically by examining the relations between 211u001econcentrations of constituents and stream-flow, and load and stream-flow.
