Comparison of the Sink Characteristics of Three Full-Scale Environmental Chambers

The paper gives results of an investigation of the interaction of vapor-phase211u001eorganic compounds with the interior surfaces of three large dynamic test 211u001echambers. A pattern of adsorption and reemission of the test compounds was 211u001eobserved in all three chambers. Quantitative comparison of adsorption between 211u001echambers was hampered by limitations of the methodology when adsorption was low. 211u001eCycling chamber air through the chamber air conditioning system increased 211u001eadsorption for most compounds tested. Further testing is needed to determine if 211u001eadsorption can be predicted from the vapor pressure of the test compound.
