摘要

This report describes the inverse electromagnetic wave propagation/scattering computer program INV-NLAYSCA. The inverse problem is formulated as a least square minimization problem which is solved by using a trust region Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm. The forward solver in this algorithm is the electromagnetic wave propagation/scattering program NLAYSCA, which computes the electromagnetic fields from elementary dipole sources submerged in a horizontally stratified dispersive sea-water environment with or without a 3D smooth object present in any of the layers. Hence, the computer program INV-NLAYSCA estimates for example the conductivities in the layers, the layer depths, the source position, the shape and position of the scattering etc. The initialization file to INV-NLAYSCA is thoroughly described and a brief presentation of some output reports is given.
