摘要

The aims of this work were first to study the interactions between oppositely charged polymer and surfactant, and to clarify different factors affecting on the phase behavior and second to investigate the utilization of phase behavior as a paper surfacing. Paper coating was carried out with the viscous gel phase, which composed of cationic starch and anionic surfacants. Different surface properties, like contact angles, surface energy, water absorbency and water vapor permeance and usual paper technical properties were characterized from the gel coated papers. The chemical composition and structure were analyzed by ESCA and FTR.
