Anti-Corruption Policies and Strategies Handbook

This Handbook is intended to explain Overseas Private Investment Corporation's (OPIC's) general anti-corruption policies and procedures, and your obligations to them. The Handbook also contains a detailed overview of the FCPA. The FCPA imposes requirements in two broad areas: anti-bribery and accounting. The anti-bribery provisions, while broadly proscribing corrupt payments to foreign officials, also provide guidance with respect to third-party payments, certain permissible payments, and affirmative defenses to alleged violations.
