摘要

The results of the first study indicated that, in general. The relative effectiveness of the four practice modes is arranged in the following order from most to least effective; quiz, modified-quiz, practice, and single-try. The amount of difference in effect-tiveness among modes, however, varies according to the three learning tasks. The relatively great effectiveness of the quiz mode may appear surprising since this mode directly shows the student what the right responses are, and this may appear to be a less active mode of rehearsal. However, the superiority of the quiz mode may rest in four factors.
