This volume contains the papers presented at the conference. The topics covered are: Role of Testing Laboratory in Cotton Selection; Blending of Cotton with Man-made Fibers; Yarn Quality and Productivity at Ring Frames; and Study of Traveller Action at Ring Frames. It also includes the reports of three Study Groups: Effect of Short Processing on Yarn Quality and Performance Study of Modern Drafting Systems at the Ring Frame; Comparative Performance of Direct and Rewound Weft in Ordinary (Non-Auto) Looms; and Study of Warp and Weft Tensions at the Loom. A report from the Productivity Study Team on the Cotton Textile Industry sponsored by the National Productivity Council to Visit USSR and Czechoslovakia is also appended.
