摘要

Three silane materials have been evaluated as the initial component of a dual-film liner in model restorations. The efficacy of these materials was evaluated in 37C saliva storage and thermocycling. A stress-fatigue failure testing program was initiated. Two additional restoration resins were considered in addition to the standard epoxide: (a) a low toxicity epoxide and (b) a low temperature curing polyester. The low toxicity epoxide indicated marked promise. A program to evaluate the effect of thermocycling on model restoration systems resulted in highly reproducible data which parallel the results of 37C saliva storage. Four general systems were considered. The unlined model restoration; an acrylic rubber liner; a silane liner; and a dual-film acrylic rubber silane liner. Synergism was clearly shown in the case of the dual-film liner. (Author)
