The results of scientific research supported or sponsored by the U. S. Department of Defense are largely reported through the media of scientific and technical reports. These reports constitute a considerable body of valuable information in various subject disciplines of basic and applied scientific research. Approximately 50％ of them are unclassified and do not require security control.
