Clean Lakes Classification Study of Iowa's Lakes for Restoration

The study evaluated the condition of 107 publicly-owned lakes in Iowa. It developed a criteria-ranking system to rank lakes most in need of restoration. The criteria used for restoring lakes were: water quality, potential for pollution, probability of restoration success and benefits to the public. All 107 lakes were classied as eutrophic.
