Computer Program Description - An Improved Finite Element Program for Three-Dimensional Electromagnetic Problems

The program described may be used to find the three-dimensional time-harmonic electric or magnetic field in a volume containing linear, sourceless, isotropic materials with varying and lossy permittivity or permeability. In general the program has application in cases for which the geometry does not permit a reduction in the dimension of the underlying three-dimensional differential equations. The program may be used to find the field patterns and resonant frequencies of loaded cavities. It may also be used to solve a wide range of waveguide scattering problems, by first formulating them as loaded-cavity problems.
