Biotechnology for Food Conversions in the Third World: Development, Transfer and Implementation

The report discusses the use of biotechnology in food production based on experience in Mexico and covers the following topics: (1) the increasing problem of competitive human and animal nutrition in developing countries; the use of biotechnology in developing substitutes for cereals and feed for cattle; microbial food conversion; (2) and potential users in the Third World.
