Stochastic Model of Traffic Flow on Freeways

A stochastic model of traffic flow on freeways is presented, which consists of two equations. The first one is conservation equation. The second equation is a stochastic evolution equation for the velocity. This evolution equation, which is an example of a stochastic partial differential equation, contains a noise term, that is modeled as infinite-dimensional Brownian motion.
