Review of information suitable for testing the prediction of flows in the vicinity of afterburner type flame stabilisers

Experimental data suitable for testing a prediction procedure for the flow in the vicinity of afterburner type flame holders are considered. The flow situation and the prediction procedure are described. Reports of experiments containing suitable information are shown in Tables I and II for non-reacting and reacting flows respectively. The available data for non-reacting flows are adequate for testing the procedure but those for reacting flows are insufficient for this purpose.
