摘要

A stiffness derivative technique to efficiently calculate values for stress intensity rates is proposed. The finite element formulation is discussed. Applicability of the method is demonstrated for a corner crack at an unloaded hole. The results compare well with results obtained in successive finite element calculations using a very detailed mesh.
