Iterative Scheme for the Solution of Constrained Variational Equations

An iterative method for the solution of constrained variational equations proposed by Mang et al, has been investigated. Serious difficulties are found in the iterative scheme for satisfying the equation of constraint. A simple calculation in an exactly soluble model has been performed to illustrate the lack of convergence of the method.
