Investigations on the Lock-in Problem and the Readout Technique of Laser Gyros

摘要

The basic effects of the laser gyro is discussed. An analytical model for describing the lock in phenomenon is derived and compared with experimental results. Different readout techniques, especially single beam readout, and compensation of the bias induced to avoid the lock in effect are outlined. Measurement results for an experimental laser gyro are presented.
