Geometry of the Karnaugh Map

The Karnaugh map technique of simplifying Boolean expressions is examined; for a function in n, variables this involves the study of the geometry of the unit cube in n dimensions, and the subcubes of this cube. It is shown that to simplify an expression in n variables, of the order of 3 to the nth power, comparison operations are required if this method is used.
