Marangoni Convection in a Spinning Liquid Column

摘要

Under the action of an axial temperature gradient, a thermocapillary convectionarises in a spinning liquid bridge. The thermocapillary convection was treated for constant but different temperature at the upper and lower disc wall and also for a directly imposed temperature distribution at the free liquid surface. The streamfunction and circulation were obtained, from which the velocity distribution could be obtained.
