Review of UK Aviation Policy

The background to present aviation policies is discussed and the U.K. (UnitedKingdom) aviation situation is reviewed. The main aviation issues are discussed in the light of this background. These issues come under the following headings: infrastructure capacity; role of regional airports; airport privatization; environment impact; resources; safety; security; economic regulation; EEC (Europnean Economic Community) harmonization; equal opportunity; general aviation; the civil aviation authority; aviation and the economy; integrated transport; planning methodology; policy formulation. Policy changes are suggested from a synthesis of discussions.
