The report contains the results of an experimental investigation of the aerodynamic characteristics of a rotating axial-flow blade grid with pressure-increasing effect. Several techniques of measurement were applied:namely, pressure distribution measurements, pitet tube, and hot wire wake surreys. The results of these measurements were used as the basis of an analysis of the flow through the rotating grid, in particular, of those effects not present in a fixed grid and of the factors not accounted for in the two-dimensional theory of axial-flow blade grids.
