A STATISTICAL STUDY OF THE REPORTEDnVALUES OF MERCURY IN UNITED STATES GEOLOGICAL SURVEY STANDARD ROCKS

摘要

Two statistical methods have been applied to the reported mercury content of U. S. G. S. standard rocks. The values obtained can be used for standardization or comparison purposes. The first method treats all mercury values with equal weighting. The second treats mercury values weighted on the basis of their precision. Mean values and standard deviations are determined by both methods.
