The 1981 Research and Development Program Plan is one of three planning documents published annually by the Electric Power Reseach Institute. The forty programs summarized are organized in accordance with the Institute's technical divisions: Coal Combustion Systems, Nuclear Power, Electrical Systems, Energy Analysis and Environment, Advanced Power Systems, and Energy Management and Utilization. Each program is briefly summarized in five areas: (1) logic and structure; (2) description of overall goals, principal content, major projects, and major objectives; (3) 1981 performance milestones; (4) projects planned for 1981; and (5) selected project candidates considered to be next priority.
