Statement on Incidents at Nuclear Installations - Fourth Quarter 1984

The Health and Safety Executive report each quarter on incidents at nuclear installations in the UK in accordance with procedures instituted in 1982. Two incidents, one concerning contaminated protective clothing at Sellafield Windscale Nuclear Power Development Laboratories (UKAEA) and the other concerning injury due to radiation from an incorrectly operated X-ray machine at Sellafield (BNFL) are reported. Investigations into two earlier incidents (84/2/1, 84/2/3) are also reported. There were no incidents in the third quarter of 1984. (Atomindex citation 17:012585)
