Low Temperature Electronic Transport Properties of Boron Carbide

摘要

Seebeck-coefficient, dc conductivity, ac conductivity from 10 kHz to 1 GHz and dielectric constant measurements have been made on hot-pressed samples of boron carbide Bsub(1-x)Csub(x) in the compositional range 0.13 < x < 0.2, between room temperature and 4.2 K. The dielectric constant measurements, performed over five orders of magnitude of the frequency, permit to separate bulk effects from grain or twin boundary effects. (ERA citation 11:041027)
