Analysis and Modeling of Future Transportation Sector Emissions.

Task Group B (TG-B), ''Man-Made Sources'' (subsequently redesignated Task Group I, ''Emissions and Controls'') of the Interagency Task Force on Acid Precipitation is responsible for developing and testing models that can be used to project fuel consumption and air pollutant emissions by energy use sector. This paper describes in a technically non-rigorous manner the transportation sector model selected for inclusion in the TG-I model set, discusses its application to preliminary test case runs conducted under Phase 1 and considers potential new emission control measures for the transportation sector and how the sector model would deal with them.
