Baltic Sea Environment Proceedings No. 19: Baltic Sea Monitoring Symposium, Held at Tallinn, USSR on March 10, 1986

The Baltic Sea Monitoring Symposium was organized by the USSR State Committee for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Control in cooperation with the Baltic Marine Environment Protection Commission - Helsinki Commission, in Tallinn, USSR. The aim of the Symposium was focused on the marine environment of the Baltic Sea, to discuss the results of the Baltic Monitoring Programme, started in 1979, to evaluate the monitoring results and to consider the necessity of monitoring programmes as well as assessments on the state of the Baltic Sea. The scientific presentations were given both orally and as posters. The papers published in this volume contain the lectures and the summaries of posters which were submitted by the authors to the organizers with the view to their publishing in the Symposium Proceedings.
