Unusual selectivities for higher hydrocarbon formation were observed over Fe80 B20 glassy catalysts in the Fischer-Tropsch reaction. However, these selectivities were very short lived and correlated with crystallization of the near surface region of the metastable glass during reaction conditions. 9 refs., 5 figs., 8 tabs.
