摘要

The Department of the Air Force prepared a finding of no significant impact (FONSI) based upon the results of research conducted during the tiered environmental assessment (EA) to evaluate environmental issues and potential impacts associated with a proposal to construct a Running Path at Schriever Air Force Base in calendar year 2003. Alternatives evaluated were the Proposed Action, one alternative action and the No Action Alternative. Project-specific and cumulative environmental consequences were analyzed for 13 resource areas, including air quality, biological resources (vegetation, wildlife, and threatened and endangered species), cultural resources land use, noise, occupational safety and health, pollution prevention socioeconomic conditions, soils, water resources, wetlands, irretrievable commitment of resources, and environmental justice as well as the cumulative effects of all the resources considered. The resource analysis determined that there would be no significant impacts to these resources because of the Proposed Action.
