DESIGN AND INVESTIGATION OF LOW FREQUENCY SPACE ANTENNAS

Many different inflatables have been demonstrated, tested and proven by Loral Electronics Corporation. Space structures, rocket antennas, decoys, and ground antennas are but a few examples of these inflatables.nA group of inflatable structures known as LILA, SAL, RITA, RIA, LISA, DEB, PAM, IDA and others are discussed.nThe physical and electrical problems of these inflatables are discussed and evaluated. It is shown that inflatable structures are solutions in certain problems that cannot be solved in any other manner. These units are shown to be lightweight, reliable, durable and easily erected when desired.
