This supplement report to the General Design Memorandum presents the results of further studies, including an up-to-date cost comparison, of three alternative solutions to the excessive shoaling problem in Charleston Harbor. The three primary alternatives compared are the Hydro Plan, the Price Inlet (Rt. B) Plan and the Energy Replacement Plan. The geographical features of these alternative plans are shown. Other plans investigated are reduced harbor maintenance, closing of Charleston Harbor and lump sum settlement.
