Handbook of the Statistics of Various Terrain and Water (Ice) Backgrounds from Selected U.S. Locations

This handbook consists of data assembled from different ERIM tasks for collecting infrared imagery on various terrain and water (ice) backgrounds in different spectral bands, and analyzing their statistical features. The descriptions are in the form of histograms, with means and standard deviations for each band, and correlations between bands; ellipse 'pictures', and power spectra for various infrared spectral bands from 1 to 14 micrometers. Various geographical locations are covered for various seasons and times of day. (Author)
