摘要

The feasibility of using the plasma spray technique for the application of metallic overlay coatings to marine gas turbine components was evaluated. Nickel based superalloy pins were sprayed with various MCrAl coatings using the plasma spray technique, given several types of surface treatments, and then oxidized at 1000 Degrees Centigrade for 100 hours. The effects of the various post-coating treatments on the coating structure and subsequent oxide behavior were investigated. (Author)
