This report describes the results of research in the following areas: Whether spontaneous or phytohemagglutinin-induced transformation of human lymphocytes in vitro is affected by exposure to continuous wave (CW) or pulsed wave (pw) 2450 MHZ microwaves. Conclusion: it is affect by PW in a non-thermal way. Comparison of CW and PW microwave exposure at the same average specific absorption rate (SAR) - PW is markedly different and acts in a non-heating way. Comparison of effects obtained by microwave and conventional heating needed to elevate the sample temperature by 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0 C. Conclusion: CW microwaves and conventional heating produce the same effects, PW exposure behaves differently. To determine whether chromosomal aberrations are induced under the conditions fo the experiment. Conclusion: They are not.
