Resonant luminescence in semiconductor quantum dots under two-photon excitation

摘要

We investigated the resonantly-excited fluorescence in a system of semiconductor quantum dots. By using a two-photon scattering technique. we observed the background-free resonant emission by eliminating the nonresonant contribution. The resonant signal consists of two spectral components corresponding to the contributions of scattering and luminescence. The linewidth of the luminescence component was found to depend on temperature, which reflected the exciton phase relaxation. These features are well explained in terms of the density-matrix treatment fur a single atomic dipole. [References: 12]
