The ABET Engineering Criteria (EC) is generating an unprecedented sensitivity to assessment and tracking of student performance in engineering learning.This flurry of activity has many faculty and departments searching for and inventing various models for assessing student performance as well as for establishing a record of those assessments and ultimately applying them within a process for continuous improvement.In this context,continuous improvement means making changes to the course/curriculum to quantitatively improve student performance against outcomes.
