BASF Boosting Nanjing Oxo-C4 Capacity; Opens Shanghai Plasticizers Laboratory

Nanjing-BASF last week announced plans to increase oxo-C4 production capacity in Nanjing, China. In order to meet growing demand for solvents and plasticizers and ensure reliable supplies of the precursor alcohols n-butanol and 2-ethylhexanol, the company's oxo-C4 capacity will be expanded to 305,000 t/y from 250,000 t/y by the fourth quarter of this year.
