Southern Petrochemical Restarts Idled Tuticorin Fertilizer Plants

Chennai-Southern Petrochemical Industries Corp. (SPIC) has Started trial operations at its Tuticorin ammonia and urea plants in Tamil Nadu, India, which have been idled (PCN, 27 Sept 2010, p 3). Financial problems and Indian Oil Corp.'s suspension of naphtha feedstock supplies to SPIC forced the company to suspend production in 2007.
