JGC, Mitsubishi Chem Plan Pilot Unit To Validate New Propylene Process

Tokyo-JGC Corp. and Mitsubishi Chemical Corp. have agreed to build a pilot plant to validate its new jointly developed propylene production process, with "the aim of commercialization," the companies said. The pilot plant, with an investment of about ￥2.6-billion, will be located at Mitsubishi's Mizushima plant. Completion is scheduled for the end of July 2010.
